An International Qualification Assessment (IQA) is an in-depth assessment of a tertiary or vocational upper-secondary qualification awarded outside of New Zealand. The process includes checking the recognition status of your overseas qualification in the country of award and analysing the details of the qualification. The IQA compares your overseas qualification to a level on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF), and where possible, to a New Zealand qualification type. We can help in getting your qualifications assessed by the New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA) at very reasonable price.
When NZQA assess an overseas qualification, they will first check its recognition status in the country of award and will carry out extensive research to determine the details of the qualification, including course duration, course content and study pathway. With this information, overseas qualification is compared to the levels and types of qualifications on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF). NZQA assess all types of tertiary and vocational upper-secondary qualifications from all over the world. There are instances, however, where qualification cannot be assessed due to the age of the qualification or the information available.
You may need to have your international qualification assessed for various reasons such as:
IQA For Immigration New Zealand
IQA For Employment Purposes
IQA To Apply To Register As A Teacher In NZ
IQA For Further Study In NZ
IQA For Teaching Salary Assessment
IQA For Any Other Purpose
